Frequently asked questions.

What gets selected, what stays yours, and where you stay in control.

How much does Scoutfield cost?

The job board is free when you sign up. Scoutfield Complete is $10/month for AI job matching, resume tailoring, cover letters, application answers, supported autofill, and tracking. You can cancel anytime.

What is Scoutfield?

Scoutfield is an AI job-search workspace for discovering roles, understanding fit, preparing tailored resumes and cover letters, completing supported application forms, and tracking applications. Your Experience Library supplies the real career record behind the workflow.

How is Scoutfield different from a job board or resume rewriter?

Scoutfield connects job discovery with a reusable record of your accomplishments, projects, skills, summaries, and answers. Resume construction selects relevant saved material for the role instead of rewriting every bullet around a job description. Matching distinguishes demonstrated strengths, transferable experience, and important gaps.

Does tailoring mean adding keywords to my resume?

No. Job language helps identify relevant experience, but it is not evidence that you have a skill. Resume construction selects saved summaries, skills, and accomplishments. It may use concise, evidence-supported labels, but it does not invent experience, tools, credentials, or metrics to fill a gap.

What happens when a role asks for experience I have not saved?

A missing requirement remains an evidence gap. In Guided Tailoring, you can add or update truthful experience if you have a relevant example. Related experience is not presented as an exact qualification, and an unsupported requirement should not become a resume claim.

Why keep an Experience Library instead of just one resume?

One resume is a limited snapshot. The Experience Library preserves more of your real career, including accomplishments and summaries that do not fit on the current document. Useful additions you save remain available for later applications, so you do not have to rebuild that context each time.

Will a tailored resume keep my design?

Yes. Your Resume Editor variant is the blueprint for sections, included jobs and projects, order, bullet counts, template, typography, and spacing. The selected content follows that structure. You can review the generated resume and adjust its selected content before applying.

How do Guided Tailoring and Tailored Auto differ?

Guided Tailoring lets you address truthful evidence gaps before resume construction, then review the selected content. Tailored Auto prepares the application package with fewer steps using the same saved experience and resume blueprint. Both preserve review and do not turn unsupported job requirements into experience.

Can I review cover letters and application answers?

Yes. Scoutfield creates editable cover letters from job context and approved experience. You can review and refine written answers before using them in an application. Saved or approved answers can be reused on supported employer forms.

Does autofill work on every employer website?

No. Autofill and question discovery depend on supported employer systems and the fields available on each form. The Scoutfield extension can reuse saved profile details, attach tailored documents, retrieve written questions, and carry approved answers into supported forms. Review the employer's form for anything still required.

Does Scoutfield submit applications without me?

You remain in control of submission. Scoutfield helps prepare documents and fill supported fields, but you review the application before submitting it. Preparing a package or clicking a submit control is not, by itself, confirmation that an employer accepted the application.
